HOUSE

Experience Japan’s four seasons in daily life at a traditional house enveloped in tranquility

Tadotsu Town is located in the center of Kagawa Prefecture.

This share house, just a 6-minute walk from JR Tadotsu Station—the birthplace of JR Shikoku (formerly JNR) and the junction of the Yosan line and Dosan line—stands in a quiet residential area. It utilizes a traditional Japanese old house that has marked the passage of time, while offering the comforts of modern living, such as home appliances and floor heating.

Bathed in light filtering through wooden pillars, tatami mats, and shoji screens, you can spend leisurely time gazing at the Japanese garden. This experience feels somehow nostalgic and calms the heart.

Here, you can savor each day and experience the good old days of rural Japanese life

A tranquil garden that embodies serenity

The living space is embraced by gardens on both the south and north sides.
Meticulously tended plantings and stone pavers create a peaceful atmosphere.

Soft morning light filters through, while birdsong calms the spirit. A quiet, healing space where you can feel nature, even within a residential neighborhood.

Clean and easy-to-use shared water facilities
The bathroom, washroom, toilet, and washer/dryer are all shared.

The restrooms feature clean Western-style toilets, with separate facilities for men.
The sinks and bathrooms are well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay even for long-term residents.

The changing room in front of the bath area is equipped with laundry dryers and floor heating, providing a comfortable living environment.

Upon opening the front door, you are greeted by paintings, and the atmosphere shifts from the outside to a quiet, serene interior—a uniquely calming ambiance found only in this home.

The airconditioned shared kitchen is fully equipped with IH cooker, microwave, freezer refrigerator, cooking utensils, tableware, and basic kitchen supplies.

Furniture and bedding are also provided, so you can arrive empty-handed and start living immediately.

【Shared Space Guidelines】

To ensure everyone enjoys a pleasant experience.
Please share the common areas considerately with other guests.

In Japan, we value the custom of mutual consideration. We kindly ask for your cooperation with the following points.

  • Please keep shared spaces clean.
After use, lightly clean up, wash dishes, and return them to their original places.
  • Please be mindful of noise.
Especially, after 10 PM, keep the volume down for TV and etc.
  • Aim to use the washing machine and bathroom by 10 PM.
     Respect others’ rest time.
  • Please sort your trash and place it in the designated areas.
  • Do not leave personal belongings in common areas like the entrance or hallways.
Please refrain from actions like opening doors without knocking.
None of these are special requests.
A little consideration helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere of this home.
  • Please respect each other’s privacy.

Wood that has aged over the years gains character like tree rings.

It offers a sense of calm and security absent in modern homes, along with the unique, breathing atmosphere of traditional Japanese houses. Here, nature, people, and space harmonize.

This house is not just a place only to stay, but a place to experience what it means to live in Japan.
